State Chapter

The purpose of the Children's Advocacy Centers of North Dakota is to promote the sustainability of the National Children's Alliance affiliated CACs through statewide coalition efforts that provide support through education and training, development of resources and legislation, and opportunities to enhance North Dakota's response to child abuse.

We are committed to:
- Provide a statewide plan for CAC growth and development.
- Foster the development of resources and technical assistance opportunities.
- Provide and promote opportunities for multidisciplinary training and education.
- Foster relationships and strengthen statewide partnerships between medical, social, legal, mental health, victim, advocacy, tribal and human services.
- Collaborate with state legislators to advocate for state, regional, county and local community financial support for services for victims and families.
- Promote public / private financial partnerships.
- Uphold core CAC standards established for NCA accreditation to promote best practices.
- Foster the development of multidisciplinary approaches to responding to child.
- Monitor the quality of service delivery for child victims and their families through education, legislation, professional training and mentoring.

Goals:
- Networking: The Chapter plays a leadership role in linking together CACs throughout North Dakota and with other CACs on Regional and National levels.
- Mentoring: The Chapter provides identification of resources for communities to assess local child abuse needs and issues and to promote the sustainability of local, regional and statewide CAC services.
- Education and Training: The Chapter promotes and provides for specialized training for multidisciplinary team members, community professionals and agencies in the areas of investigation, prosecution, treatment and prevention of child abuse.
